S.E.L.T.F. awards merit-based scholarships to outstanding student-scholars in the Southwestern Province of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Selection criteria include academic achievement, institutional involvement, volunteer service, and demonstrated leadership qualities.
🎓 Undergraduate Scholarship
For current undergraduate students enrolled at an accredited college or university. Recognizes academic excellence and community involvement among rising scholars.

📚 Graduate / Professional Scholarship
For graduate and professional degree candidates pursuing advanced study at accredited institutions. Recognizes exceptional scholarship and commitment to service.
- ✓ Enrolled in graduate or professional program
- ✓ Minimum 3.0 GPA required
- ✓ Southwestern Province resident
- ✓ Two letters of recommendation
⭐ MVAC Scholarship
The Most Valuable Achievement in Academics & Community award honors student-scholars whose exceptional achievements distinguish them above their peers. A mark of distinction in the province.

Who is eligible to apply?
Any student enrolled at an accredited institution who resides within the Southwestern Province states is eligible to apply. Applications are reviewed without regard to race or ethnicity.
When is the application deadline?
Application deadlines are announced each academic year. Check this page or contact the Foundation for the current cycle deadline.
Can I apply for multiple scholarships?
Yes, eligible students may apply for both the General Scholarship and the MVAC Scholarship in the same cycle. Graduate students may apply in their respective category.
What documents are required?
Typically: official transcripts, a personal statement, two letters of recommendation, and proof of enrollment. Specific requirements are listed within the application portal.
How are scholarship decisions made?
A review committee evaluates each application holistically, considering academic achievement, leadership, community service, and the quality of written materials.
When will I hear back?
All applicants are notified of decisions via email following the close of the review period. Please allow 4–6 weeks after the application deadline.
